Sparkling Cava Sangria and an Elegant Wine & Dessert Party Menu

sparkling sangria

Thursday night I attended and provided the food for Mommieswithstyle.com’s Mom’s Get Glam Suave Party. It was such a fun event where we got pampered with great hair products courtesy of Suave. An evening for Mom Bloggers to get out and feel glamorous called for an elegant light bite menu. Since it was at 7:30 I opted for fancy one bite desserts and a Sparkling Cava Sangria. I knew that wine and cheese would also be served to compliment it I devised this menu. Wine Biscuits, these are yummy, slightly sweet biscuits that go well with wine and are made with wine. I made mine with white wine. I also served mini cups of Rose Mousse accented with Pistachios and Candied Rose Petals. I thought some mini cupcakes would be a fabulous addition. In keeping with an elegant evening theme, I chose Mini Champagne Cupcakes with a Champagne Buttercream Frosting and Mini Chocolate Chambord Cupcakes with a Toasted Swiss Meringue Frosting. I will be posting all these recipes in the coming week. In the meantime I am including the recipe for the Sparkling Cava Sangria and a sneak peak of the photos of the treats.

Quick Notes

Cava is a Spanish sparkling wine that I enjoy very much. My favorite these days is Cristalino Brut Cava it’s good, rated 84 points by Wine Spectator and very affordable.
